To the rescue of cloisters
The Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn is implementing the project "Rescue conservation works of the cloisters of the Lidzbark Castle". The project received funding from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Self-Government of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
Rescue conservation works of cloisters
At the beginning of September 2009, in the Copernicus Halls of the Olsztyn Castle, an agreement was signed for co-financing the project Rescue conservation works of the cloisters of the Lidzbarski Castle with the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, represented by Mr. Piotr Żuchowski, Secretary of State and Mr. Janusz Gypsy, Director of the Museum of Warmia and Mazury. Support was provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through funding from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area, a priority for the Protection of European Cultural Heritage.
Commencement of works on the cloisters of Lidzbark
Work began on the cloisters of the Lidzbark castle. As part of the PL 0470 project "Rescue conservation works of the cloisters of the Lidzbarski Castle", two contracts were signed with contractors of construction and conservation works. The implementation of the project is possible thanks to the support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through co-financing from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area.
