Investment activities

  • Preparations for a new exhibition.

    Preparations are underway for an exhibition telling the story of the St. Joseph's Foundation Orphanage, which operated in the Lidzbark castle in the years 1859-1932.

    At the end of December, our pipe organ returned from maintenance and restoration and its assembly began.

    Our "Cinema Room" - a room on the ground floor in the west wing, after conservation and restoration, will be an educational room, temporarily serving as a warehouse.

  • Winter edition of the Bishop's Gardens

    Although there is still a lot of time before the astronomical winter, white fluff has covered our "Theatre of Flowers" and "Encyclopedia of Trees".

    The first trees in the "Encyclopedia of Trees", as Ignacy Krasicki called this part of the gardens, were planted. The trees are doing well, let them wait quietly until spring, when we will wander through the gardens.

    We plant plants in a dry moat; flowers, perennials, shrubs - in the "Theatre of Flowers" work is in full swing, the weather is favourable!

    Yesterday was a beautiful sun and a day of planting and looking after the already planted plants in the emerging garden in the dry moat and on the zwinger around the castle.

    Despite the bad weather, intensive works are underway in the dry moat of the Lidzbark castle, and three eighteenth-century sculptures are waiting to be placed in the arranged bishop's gardens.

    There is more and more going on in our castle gardens, t.zw. The connector of the Grabowski Palace, where there will be a passage from the gardens to the castle and a hidden elevator for the disabled, is almost ready.
