On the rib vault, shield fields, but also walls, landscape paintings from the times and foundation of Bishop Ignacy Krasicki have been preserved. Fragments of earlier Gothic ornamental paintings are also visible. Currently, the surfaces of the vault and walls are subjected to conservation treatments, mainly aimed at preserving and merging the paintings.
Conservation as part of the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – pearls of Gothic architecture in Poland – stage III", implemented from funds received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under EEA funds and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Together, we work towards a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
