The custodian of the Warmia Castle / Museum in Lidzbark Warmiński, Małgorzata Jackiewicz-Garniec, will bring us closer to the history of the castle chapel and the unique organ.

Castle chapel and organ
The castle chapel has been functioning since the end of the fourteenth century, and its current décor was created in the mid-eighteenth century and is the merit of bishop Adam Stanisław Grabowski.
In 1760, bishop Grabowski, acting as a patron of the arts, also founded a unique organ with a beautiful rococo prospectus.
How the organ works without electricity and who the calicant is - you will learn from the attached video.
Soon, the organ will undergo conservation as part of the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – pearls of gothic architecture in Poland – stage III", implemented from funds received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under EEA funds and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Together, we work towards a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
Co-financed by the Self-Government of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
