A major renovation of the Lidzbark bridge is underway; after removing the structure from the 70s of the twentieth century, the historical pillars were subjected to conservation, the finial was supplemented, then 1.6 ton granite slabs were laid on them.
The renovation of the bridge is carried out as part of the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – pearls of gothic architecture in Poland – stage III", implemented from funds received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under EEA funds and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and the Self-Government of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
